Innovative
Service Solutions Is Taking
Its Clients Health, Safety, And Welfare
To The Next Level By Minimizing Exposure
To Deadly Germs.
SEE PDF (12KB)
Orlando,
Fla./EWORLDWIRE/Feb. 13, 2006
Innovative Service Solutions, (ISS)
an Orlando-based mechanical service
company has partnered with Philders
Group International Inc., a leading
healthcare consulting firm, to reduce
the exposure risk of its clients to
Methicillin Resistant Staph Aureus (MRSA)
and Vancomycin Resistant Staph Aureus
(VRSA). To accomplish this, ISS is implementing
a comprehensive Infection Control Policy
and Procedure as a part of its Safety
Program. "This is not a standard
part of any safety program today in
the Heating, Ventilation Air-Conditioning
(HVAC) mechanical industry, but should
be," said Richard Bodwell, president
and CEO of Innovative Service Solutions.
"With the advent of exposure
to air-borne pathogens and new disclosure
laws for Healthcare Acquired Infections
(HAIs) for medical facilities, we
knew it was critical for our clients'
well-being to take an aggressive proactive
measure. We hired a medical expert
in the industry to assist us in addressing
this very serious need."
MRSA
and VRSA cause some of the deadliest
HAIs today, and ISS is meeting its
clients' needs by proactively implementing
its Specialized Technical Awareness
Team (S.T.A.T.) and ViceVRSA programs
as a part of itscorporate core competency.
S.T.A.T.
is a comprehensive tiered educational
program to educate specialized trained
technicians about HAIs and the environmental
and exposure impact it has. Technicians
must pass all levels of education,
maintain
mandatory continuing education, as
well as learn about how to recognize
suspect areas for exposure.
The
ViceVRSA program provides containment,
measures and safety protocol critical
to risk reduction for exposure in
the healthcare environment.
